Why do people hack pokemon games to make pokemon evolve and do other things?

is it even legal??? O.O cuz i see a lot of people who hack the games like my fire red n make pokemon evolve into things they arent suppose to or dont exist..... or like theyll change the starter pokemon to legendary pokemon or something like that..... i can understand if they hack it n put pokemon from the other version on there tht r exclusive to the game but they dont O.OWhy do people hack pokemon games to make pokemon evolve and do other things?
Well because its fun and yes it is legal.But i only hack when i beat the game.Who ever thumbs me down the can kiss my a$$.
Ive heard before owning/manipulating a ROM is legal as long as you own the original game, and you're not making profit off of how you change the game.



That being said, it's mostly done for fun. Some people just mess around with it (like "oh har har the starters are legendaries and squirtle's on route 1") and others go wild and actually make sort of their own games.



It's not usually to get things others can't, or to catch uncatchables. It's a hobby. ^_^ And it can be quite fun.Why do people hack pokemon games to make pokemon evolve and do other things?
If you have a gameboy pocket color or advance then people use a gameshark.



If you have a DS then Action Replay is the new thing to use.



They are both a cartridge that you put in your gameboy and use codes from the internet to change stuff in the game.



Have fun, you can probably find them on ebay or even at your local electronics store.



Oh ya and it's pretty much cheating but I mean really its a game. Unless your serious and go in tournaments its all good.Why do people hack pokemon games to make pokemon evolve and do other things?
Because People Are Losers They Cant Live Without Hacking They Are Noobs In Pokemon They Have Low Level Pokemon So They Hack They Cant Do A Thing By Their Self.
