Harvest Moon.
It's a farming/life simulator... It's not necessarily similar to Pokemon, but it's still fun. If you like Pokemon, I think you would like Harvest Moon.
Another game you might like is Kirby.
It's in no way similar to Pokemon (sorry), but you play as a little pink animal type creature that flies, can breathe in enemies, and take their powers. It's enormously fun. I hope this helps you and good luck!
