Can you move pokemon from other pokemon games to black and white versions?

Just wondering cuz I think it could be a huge advantage to have the pokemon from older games ok he deCan you move pokemon from other pokemon games to black and white versions?
you can move them using the pokeshifter (it's in the game) but you can not trade items or trade back. Kind of like pal park except no items.
