Whats the difference between the old and new Pokemon games?

I used to play Pokemon and i stopped after finishing my Crystal game. I'm looking to buy the new Black game and am wondering what the major differences between the old and the new, other than the graphics and new Pokemon, are.Whats the difference between the old and new Pokemon games?
Major Differences:

-Much better graphics and 3d imaging

-New Pokemon (Since you played crystal, there is probably 300 new pokemon since then that have been released)

-New region (as of every new pokemon game)



Minor Differences:

-There are double and triple battles now (so you send in 2 or 3 pokemon at a time)

-Season changes

-Wi-fi global link allowing you to battle/trade with trainers worldwide

-Dynamic camera angles, zooming in and out on the player

-When the grass shakes, a rare pokemon appears

-Quite a lot of new pokemon moves



Since the last pokemon game you played was Crystal, there will be significant new features in the game. And it is quite hard to describe all the changes but you'll see when you get the game. highly recommend buying the game :)
Difference between Crystal and Black.. hmm let's see... whew .. a lot!



1) It is far easier to use the PC on the more recent versions.

2) It doesn't automatically save when you switch between PC Boxes.

3) You can move Pokemon around much more freely.

4) When Pokemon are caught and transferred to the PC after captured, as a result of a full party, it will be sent to the next PC with enough room, so you don't need to worry about the current PC Box being full anymore, leaving you unable to capture more Pokemon.

5) When Pokemon are transferred to the PC their HP and PP is automatically fully restored.

6) Pokemon Sprites now move during battle in Black and white.

7) Your character can now run if you hold down B

8) The music is much better.

9) 649 Pokemon now.

10) There are Double Battles, Triple Battles, and Rotation Battles. Instead of just one on one.

11) You can battle people online, and even trade online as well, either via WiFi Club or GTS

since then ther has been pokemon firered, leafgreen, ruby, shaphire, emerald, diamond, pearl, platinum, heartgold, soulsilver, and as you know pokemon black and white version. there are 3 new regions too. they are hoen, sinnoh, and unova. there has allso been pokemon mystery dungeon games, and pokemon ranger games. pokemon black has unova and so does white. there are new pokemon and legeondaries. there are even a gba video player which is a cartridge just like the games but you can watch t.v. the only series they make it in is avanced generation though.Whats the difference between the old and new Pokemon games?
New pokemon games have new features, more Pokemon, more gyms, etc. The newest Pokemon games (Pokemon Black and Pokemon White) have added rotation battles, triple battles, seasons, 150 new Pokemon, two rivals, cut scenes, weather, and lots more. Each new generation of Pokemon games add new things.
Well, the graphics on B%26amp;W are much better than Crystal, and the pokemon, settings, and people are totally diffrent.

There are new features such as the global link and triple battles.
