what are the newest pokemon games for Gameboy advance? I know ruby and sapphire came out at the same time. are leaf green, fire red, emerald and the other ones newer or older than ruby and sapphire?

Red/Green/Yellow are the 1st Gen games for GameBoy



Gold/Silver/Crystal are the 2nd Gen games for the Gameboy/color



Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald are the 3rd Gen games for GBC/Advanced



FireRed and LeafGreen are remakes of Red/Green but using the 3rd Gen Engine.



Diamond/Pearl/Platinum are DS only games and are 4th Gen games



HeartGold/SoulSilver are the Gold and Silver remakes for the DS only and use the 4th Gen Engine.

After Emerald they only made pokemon DS games.



But there is Pokemon Rescue Team Red, a completely different kind of game but still pokemon.
