It depends on what old games you have exactly played to make it so it's good or not. It has a lot of interesting bells-and-jingles. However, you shouldn't be daunted at how slow the walking speed of the game is. The Fourth Generation Pokemon...for me, some of them are a hit-and-miss. I don't like Bidoof, but I definitely like Spiritomb, to name some. If you played RSE, you'll see how fast the battle transitions go, so that's good. The difference between Diamond to Pearl is the Legendary and some of the exclusive Pokemon. That's it. And oh, the best price is probably 129.99, unless you're buying a used DS, which should cost less.

What's the difference between Pokemon Diamond %26amp; Pearl, and I love the old Pokemon games, are the new ones bad?i cant believe it when i saw a trailer for pokemon pearl.... it looked amazing... all 3d... gets darker at night and all of the new pokemon.... the difference beetween them is that pearl has palkia and diamond has dialga 2 different lengend pokemon!

If you have a friend who has one of the two games (Pearl or Diamond), you should get the other one. Other than that, there isn't much difference between the two games, but it seems like most of the people who are posting answers on Yahoo Questions seem to have Diamond. I have pearl, which is great, because it has a few Pokemon that are not on Diamond, and I can trade with all the Diamond players.
As far as the game goes, I don't think the Pokemon games are particularly exciting. They are all pretty much the same set up, and there isn't much new in Pearl than there was in any of the other games. You still collect berries, can compete in contests, finish the game by battling the Elite 4, and obtain the National Pokedex after you've seen all 151 Pokemon in Sinnoh. You defeat 8 trainers to obtain badges. Same old, same old. The only new thing really is the new Pokemon.
