Does Nintendo own the rights to just pokemon games or more than that?

I've noticed that pikachu is apart of Nintendo's characters and Nintendo makes all pokemon related games. Does Nintendo actually owns the rights to use any variation of pokemons in games, does it own more, or I'm I wrong?Does Nintendo own the rights to just pokemon games or more than that?
Pokemon was originally created by Nintendo. The reason only Nintendo uses Pokemon is because of the patent and copyright laws. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
nintendo owns the rights to pokemon. they have for over 10 years. the creator has freedom to do as he chooses and to make what ever pokemon he wants but nintendo publishes everything so they basically have al rights to pokemonDoes Nintendo own the rights to just pokemon games or more than that?
nintendo owns the right to the pokemon name and the game series so if you try to market a pokemon named game nintendo would sue you for copyrights.Does Nintendo own the rights to just pokemon games or more than that?
